This is a picture of the capitol Addis Ababa

With our first 100 degree day of the year yes 100, I thought id say what the weather is like in Ethiopia. When many people think of Africa they think hot. Ethiopia is close to the equator But the Capital Addis Ababa is actually very high in elevation. From its lowest point, around Bole International Airport, at 2,326 meters (7,630 ft) above sea level in the southern periphery, the city rises to over 3,000 meters (9,800 ft) in the Entoto Mountains to the north. right now tempatures are running about high 70's but since it is so high it cools off and the lows are in the low 50's. The rainy season in the capitol is around August although it is starting to get a little moisture around this time of year.
